What Does Blood Result Neutrophils Low 1.22 And High 5.49 Mean?
I have been told my doctor that I have low neutrophils (1.22)x10E9/L and high neutrophils (5.49). I didn t have an infection at time of blood test as far as I know. She says not to worry but wants to send me to a specialist to make sure nothing else is going on. Needless to say I have high anxiety- and am very worried about what the what else could be . I am undergoing Venus freeze treatment- wondering if that could cause these results-forgot to tell my dr-she isn t in until next week.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Neutrophils are raised in case of infection. Bacterial infections usually lead to increase in neutrophil counts. In cases of severe infections, the neutrophil count can decrease also.
In yoir query you have mentioned that neutrophil count was increased and decreased also. Kidly, consult your primary health care provider for clinical assessment and interpretation of the test report.
Thanks and take care DR Shailja P Wahal
