What Does Blood Test Result CRP Is 8.4 Mean?

Hi Dr s; My name is Jim. I have severe spinal stenosis,since 2006 accident,,,getting worse in L3,L4,L5. A lot of inflamation, anyhow 2 Questions; 1. On my recent MRI my canal diameter @ L3,4 is 7mm, I am 6 2 , what does this mean? 2. On recent blood test my CRP is 8.4 [normal range is 0-5.0] Is this inflamation caused? I have plenty of test results in front of me. What are your thoughts? Regards; Jim

Hi dear.Thanks for writing on HCM.CRP is a inflammatory marker.It is not definitive on specific condition.It is high in case of ongoing inflammation.Its high inflammatory conditions such as tuberculosis, cardiac conditions, stress etc.Hope this answers your query.
