IF you are from a country like India or asia, the chances of you having
tuberculosis as a cause of
infertility is too much. Your PCR is also positive.
You can have additional Quantiferron gold test for TB.
In addition to all this Tuberculosis is also diagnosed by clinical picture and physical findings. Loss of weight, loss of appetite, evening rise or increase in temperature or
feeling weak and frustrated by evening, loss of fat at cheeks, loss of facial luster and so many.. Also important is whether there is a history of tuberculosis in the family.
If infertility is a case an ''empirical'' treatment with anti-tubercular treatment can be started in consultation with your infertility specialist ( i hope he/she is ready for this). If the clinical improvement is positive , continue the full course .
Get
liver function tests done before the treatment is started and get this repeatedly done.
