What Does Giddiness With Vomiting While On Insulin Mean?
Hi Doctor,
My mother is a diabetic patient taking insulin injection and 56 years old.From the past 1.5 years she is experiencing as her head is spinning around accompanied with vomiting which last for 3-4 days. This starts when she gets up after sleep..Doctor has prescribed her to take Stugil three ties a day for three days ad then she feels better..Could you please tell e the reason behind it and is she supposed to undergo any testings done??

persons who are on insulin are more prone for hypoglycemic attacks or low blood sugar many a time this is the culprit.
i personally feel her insulin dosage has to be adjusted after knowing her sugar levels.
the doctor prescribed her stugil (cinnarizine +domperidone) which will control your vomiting and head spinning. but i would like to know have you discussed with him about your diabetic status and your dosage of insulin. your prescription now is a temporary one but my suggestion is for permanent release of your symptoms hope this explains
