What Does High FBS Levels In Blood Suggest?

age 50 height 5feet 9inch weight 80 kg using plavix, lipitor 10 mg, concor 5mg, asprin 81mg angioplasticity done 5 years back.
Dear doctor,I AM IN GOOD HEALTH BUT LAST WEEK I DID BLOOD TEST FOR LIPID PROFILE and OTHERS EVERY THING IS WITH IN LIMIT EXCEPT FBS 117 mg/dl and cpk 260 PLEASE ADVICE .THANKS MS

FBS 117 mg/dl FBS is Fasting blood sugar its a test used for diagnosing diabetes.70 to 126 mg/dl is taken as normal so nothing to worry about.CPK is an enzyme.your level is slightly high which may be due to exercise,muscular exertion.Creatine Kinase (CK) activity is greatest in striated muscle, heart tissue, and brain. The determination of CK activity is a proven tool in the investigation of skeletal muscle disease , myocardial infarction and cerebrovascular accidents. Increased levels of CK also can be found in viral myositis, polymyositis, and hypothyroidism.you can get cpk isoenzyme test done.
