What Does It Mean To Have Light Spotting, Post Mastectomy Performed For Breast Cancer, While Taking Progesterone?

Hi, I am 29 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 11. I tried for 5 years of infertility treaments and eventually we went through with the IVF to get pregnant. 2 years after my son was born, When I was 25, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and ended up having a double mastectomy to remove all cancer. I have never had a period on my own, without the help of some sort of medicine, and I haven t been on any kind of progestrone, or birth control since my cancer diagnoses. So it has been 4 years since my last period, but today I started spotting bright red, but is only there when I wipe. Me and my husband have sex daily and never use protection. Please help. Thank you.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
This spotting may be part of abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalances from PCOS. However, if it persists, you may take a doctor's advice and get some basic tests like ultrasound done to keep a tab on it.
Hope this helps.
Regards
