Hello!
I had gone through your tests report in detail.
Your lipidic profile is normal.
You have nothing to worry about.
Normal range:
- for
total cholesterol in under 200 mg/dl
-for Triglycerides is under 150 mg/dl
-for
LDL is under 120 mg/dl
-for VLDL is under 40 mg/dl
-for
HDL is over 40 mg/dl
As you can see your Total cholesterol,Triglicerydes,VLDL,LDL are in normal ranges.
The only value out of normal range is HDL level.
Your HDL, or “good," cholesterol removes excess cholesterol in the blood and can help to protect you against heart disease. Having low levels of HDL may place you at risk of getting
coronary heart disease.
Possible causes for low HDL are:
-Smoking
Being overweight
Lack of physical activity
Genes
Certain medications (anabolic
steroids, progestins)
Poor diet, especially if high in carbohydrates.
All you need to do is some lifestyle changes to increase HDL level in normal range. These changes include:
-Physical activity at least 5 days a week.
-Losing weight, if you are overweight.
-Smoking cessation
-Diet modification :Cut fatty ,processed foods; Eat healthy foods, mostly green vegetables, drink plenty of water.
Check again your lipidic profile 2-3 months after and if HDL level is still below 40 mg/dl your doctor may prescribe you a treatment (Niacin or Fibrates).
Hope it has helped.
Take care.
