What Does Marked Narrowing Of Disc Space At The L5-S1 Level In MRI Report Mean ?

At the L5-S1 level there was marked narrowing of the disc space. A right sided disc osteophyte complex was seen which resulted in narrowing of the right neuroforamen. This is part of what was on my MRI report and I am wondering what this means. I am having pain and numbness down my right leg which is partly the reason for the MRI

Dear sir/madam, you have symptoms of nerve compression. Ideally when symptomatic its better to get operated ( surgical decompression ). If left alone later it can result in limb wasting. Its better to consult spine surgeon/neurosurgeon/orthopaedician.
