Blood count indiciates immature granulocytes of 0.3% wbc 14.9 on 4/17/14 and 12.6 on 3/19/14 monocytes absolute .87 and neutrophils 11.15 both up from previous count done on 3/19/14. I am worried and in a very rural are the pa said she would chek again in two months should I have this checked again sooner I am worried about leukemia.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The total leukocyte count is raised on both occasions. There is also an increase in neutrophil and monocyte count. Presence of immature granulocyte is not a normal finding. Leukemia is characterised by increase in total white blood cell counts. However, there are some leukemias characterised by low total leukocyte count and they are called sub-leukemic leukemia. You need to consult a hematologist for further investigations to look for leukemia.
