What Does No Active Parenchymal Infiltrates Seen In Heart Mean?
my name is myrna 55 yrs old my height is 5 inches & 130lbs.i was xrayed 2wks ago & the result is suspicios densities rigt apex suggest apico lordotic view atheromatous aorta.after 2 days repeated my xray for the chest apicolordotic view& the result is no active parenchymal infiltrates seen & previousley noted linear opacities could be due to fibrosis..i am worried to my result thank you
You had suspicious densities in right apical region,so you was advised apico- lordotic view. Apico-lordotic view is a special view and it is is needed to properly visualize apical areas of lungs because apical areas are covered by many bony structures like clavicle, ribs.
It is generally advised in conditions if there is some doubtful lesion in apical region. It was important to rule out infective etiology.
Your findings are normal in apico-lordotic view.Doubtful lesions is most likely due to fibrosis and it doesn't require any treatment.Fibrosis is sequel of past infection. There is no any active infection at present.
