Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my lower back and hips that radiate at night down my legs for at least 5 years. I finally had xrays done on my lower back hips and legs. The technician asked me if I had pain in any area specifically, I told her my left hip. When I was getting dressed I asked her what she saw.......she whispered it looked like an osteoblastoma but it was in a positive spot not a negative one. What does this all mean? I wont be able to talk with my doctor for a few more days and Im sick with worry.
It is not possible to make a diagnosis of osteoblastoma only based on X-rays. Further investigations or scans are required with correlation by the treating orthopedic doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
