Hi Dr. A few days back had chronic cough and wheezing. The wheezing got better with asthama medications and puff but the cough persisted. on taking a x-ray and other blood tests dr concluded acute broncitis and put me on medication. The x-ray also showed mild cardiomelagy with slightly prominent pulmonary vasculature. Iam really scared as the dr has reffered me to a cardiac specialist. Is this very serious?
Mild cardiomegaly is something that is very subjective as per the diagnosis of different doctors. It can be normal cardiac shadow also. It is better to see a cardiologist and confirm or rule out any cardiac problem.
