What Does " Bulging Of Annulus L3-4 With Abutment Of Bilateral L4" Mean?
what does this means minimal bulging of annulus L3-4 with abutment of bilateral L4 nerve roots and minimal dorsal disc bulging L5-S1 with abutment of the bilateral L5 nerve roots. There is encroachment on the left neural foramen. This is the result of a MRI.
There is degeneration of lumbar spine disc between L3 and L4. This is resulting in the annulus part of the disc herniating between the bones. The nerve roots pass through these neural foramina and you might have severe L 4 nerve root compression at that level. There is also a bulging disc at level L 5 - S 1. The nerve pain may be controlled with restricted physical activity and pain relief medication. Please do not do heavy physical activity till you are comfortable. Apply ointments if it gives you relief.
