May we know the actual condition if the result of X-ray is as follows: The lung is hyperaerated. The cardiac shadow is enlarged in its transverse diameter. The diaphragm, costophrenic sulci, and the bony thorax are unremarkable. Impression: Hyperaerated Lungs. Cardiomegaly....Thanks
Your X-ray report suggests hyper aerated lungs,it means lungs are expanded more.It may be due to many reasons like emphysema, chronic asthma etc.In this condition, there is more air trapping in the lungs. There is also cardiomegaly,it means heart size is also enlarged in size. Other findings like diaphragm, both CP angles and bony thorax are normal.
Hope I have answered your question. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
