What Does Reduced Cyst Size And Dilation Mean?

Dear sir I got an USG abdomen done for a ovarian cyst, the report reads mild reduction in size of cyst to be followed up and a increase in size of the liver and echogenecity with normal echotexture no focal lesion or dilation of intra bilary radicles are seen, read fatty liver with hepatomegally

The size of the cyst is important to predict complications/cancerous changes.Most of the small ovarian cysts disappear without any complications and only need follow up for confirmation. In your case the size of the cyst is reducing and it is a good sign. A follow up scan is suggested at regular intervals for confirmation.

Regarding the increase in size of the liver with fatty changes just check if your cholesterol/blood sugar/lipid profile is abnormal and if so take remedial actions with a follow up scan. The dilatation of the intrahepatic biliary radicals could happen if there is any obstruction leading to the outflow of bile.
