What Does The MRI Indicate Regarding Pain And Numbness Of Leg?
I have had pain and numbness in my left arm since December. My second MRI said there is straightening and slide reversal of the normal cervical curvature. THis has slightly progressed since prior MRI (Nov 2010). The vertebral bodies are intact. There is a small anterior osteophytes at C5 and C6. Marrow signal appears normal. There is loss of signal in the discs throughout the cervical spine consistent with desiccation, degenerative disc disease unchanged. What does all this mean? Thank you

What Does The MRI Indicate Regarding Pain And Numbness Of Leg?
Hello Report suggests mild degenerative disc disease of cervical spine. 1.At C5-6 level, there are small osteophytes.Osteophytes are formed due to chronic stress on annulus fibrosis. 2.There is also desiccation of inter vertebral disc means loss of water from disc. 3.There is straightening and slide reversal of the normal cervical curvature. It may be due to spasm of paravertebral muscles. Majority of the cases of early degenerative spine disease are managed by physiotherapy, analgesics and muscle relaxants. You should consult your doctor. Get well soon. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
