Moderate to severe facet arthropathy at l4-5 with grade 1 anterolisthesisof L4 on L5. Also intervertebral disc with amild diffuse bulge, also mild to modearae spinal canal stenosis with bilateral subarticularzone stenosis [MR report] . Prognosis and treatment
According to report, findings are suggestive of degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine. Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis.
1.There is moderate to severe facet(bony joint in between two vertebra) arthropathy at L4-5 level. There is also anterolisthesis(forward movement of vertebra)of L4 on L5 vertebra.
2..There is mild diffuse disc bulge which is causing mild to moderate narrowing of central canal and bilateral recess.
Majority of the cases of degenerative spine disease are benefited by physiotherapy,so physiotherapy should be tried first. Surgery should be the last option.
Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.
