Hi,

The MRI report of the knee says that there is swelling below the skin involving the right knee joint. It can be because of trauma sustained to the knee. The medial patellar ligament is a structure connecting the knee cap or patella to its to attachment on the inner aspect of the knee. In your case this ligament appears to be showing a partial tear which is responsible for weakness leading to tendency of outwards movement of the knee. This can lead to a feeling of knee instability.
