In my Medical Examination for work resident visa the x-ray shows at the lower zone ill defined patchy opacity. and my PPD test results Zero mm adulation. now i am referd to other hospital for further checking. is anyone can tell me how my situation is? and what type of test i will be checked.
According to chest X-ray report there is ill defined patchy opacity noted in lower zone of lung(side is not mentioned in the report). It may be due to pneumonia,Tuberculosis etc. Firstly, patient should be given full course of broad spectrum antibiotics. If PPD test shows zero reading then it indicates you are not infected with T.B. However it should be clinically correlated.PPD may be false negative in various conditions. If you don't respond to antibiotics then further investigations should be done. Hope i have answered your query.
