Sir,my endoscopy report has the impression that Grade II ti iv oesophageal varices, signs of recent variceal bleed ,mild congestive gastropathy & mild congestive duodenopathy..kindly could u expalin it clearly..may i know the reason for this impression please
It is important to know proper history of the patient. Oesophageal varices generally develops due to cirrhosis of liver.Varices are alternate channels for drainage of blood due to portal hypertension in cirrhotic liver. Mild congestive gastropathy & duodenopathy are also due to opening of alternate pathways. If varices are the source of bleeding then it need to be managed. There are many treatment options for it.It can be planned after consultation with gastroenterologist. Hope i have answered your query.
