Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. 1:160 indicates, Widal is positive. 2. You need to be started on antibiotics. You are positive for paratyphoid fever. 3. A rising titre will indicate continuing infection, while a falling titre will indicate, infection being treated. Repeat test after completion of course of treatment. Hope it helps.
