What Does The Possibility Of BLT From Foot X-ray Suggest?

I had a foot x-ray done recently because of a fibroma. The podiatrist said there were white spots on the x-ray, and he mentioned BLT (breast, lung, thyroid cancers) as a possibility. Can you tell me more? I am 61 and, as far as I know, in very good health.

Fibroma is a benign disease and is not of any worry. Though BLT cancers are supposed to be dangerous. They show white spots in X-ray because of sclerotic metastasis. But it is rare to get spread of the disease to foot rather than local/regional spread of disease. I don't think that it will affect your foot before anything else. Please get a second opinion on the X-ray and if the other's opinion is similar please get a check up done for breast, lung and thyroid cancers.
