What Does The Report Showing: Subcentimeter Sized Bilateral Cervical Lymphadenopathy Involving Level - 1 To 4 Indicate?
Hi, I just recently did full body checkup and there is nothing found except i have hypo thyroid.. I was having continues pain in my throat, neck, near collar bone and few lymph nodes also got swollen in my neck region.. so after having second and third opinion.. I am still not satisfied! So my last Dr. asked me to do the CECT Scan for Neck N Upperchest. When Reports came it is still unclear and my Dr. is asking me to do Biopsy. The CECT reports Says Subcentimeter sized bilateral cervical lymphadenopathy involving level - 1 to 4. The lymph nodes are discrete in shape and shows homogenous attenuation. One of the right level - 2 lymph nodes measures 11x9.2mm in size. I don t understand anything, even my doc didn t helped me.. what should i do??? :( : (
Neck lymphnodes are classified according to location as levels. You have small enlarged lymph nodes at levels 1 through 4. If it is painful and the larges measures 11 x 9.2 mm then its most likely due to an infection. Large and painless lymph nodes are a concern. You may still get a biopsy to know the exact cause and then take necessary treatment. A biopsy almost always confirms the diagnosis.
