What Does This MRI For Lumbar Spine Indicate?

MRI of the lumber spine shows spondylotic changes and disk degeneration .There is Grade II spondylolisthesis of L5 over s1 vertebra with defectin the pars interarticularis; There is narrowing of the lateral recesses/neural formina due to disk protrusions and olisthesis.



There is compression of right L4 nerve root at the Forminal level due to L3 - L4 disc protrusion.



There is significant narrowing of the spinal canel and compression of L5 nerve roots within the spinal canel due to L4-L5.Disc protrusion with cystic degeneration and extension superiorly behind L4 vertebral body \ almost till the superior margin.



The rest of the findings are normal.

you may go under operation but it depend what kind of job you do.if you have not heavy work you may do some treatment with pain killer and fisioterapy and than to do any other consult with neurosurgeon.
