What Does This X-ray Findings Indicate?
Hello Sir,
X-ray report of female age 65 shows, Heterogeneous opacities are seen in bilateral zone and blunting of left costo-phrenic is seen, probably pleural thickening.
She dont hv BP & diebetic, blood & urine reports are normal.
What should be conclusion or the next line of investigation.
Please guide me.

Heterogeneous opacities and blunting of left costo-phrenic (CP) angle suggest there is some pathology going on in the lungs which need to be investigated further with more investigations.
The patient is elderly. So she is prone to get a lot of diseases.
I would like to rule of the Carcinoma lung or Metastasis (spread of cancer from some other organ cancer) first. Otherwise there could be pneumonic patches or connective disease menifastations.
I would have suggested patient to undergo CT thorax with contrast.
The specialist for there cases in pulmonologist and it better to take advise from him along with detailed history and investigations.
