What Does Ultrasound Report As Mass In Liver Lobe Suggest?
I get my Ultrasound reprt today.following points are written 1-A solid mass measuring 84*83*900mm was seen in lt. lobe of liver of hepatic origin?. The mass was well demarcated and capsulated .Intra hepatic poratal and biliary passages were not dilated.2-Ascitic fluid was seen in the peritoneal cavity especially in the pelvis.Fluid was thin and contained no debris.please help me whats this decease and what should i do rite now...i m feeling pain in my right side of belly
Your report suggests large mass in the left lobe of liver.It may be due to many reasons.It may be due to both benign or malignant reasons.It is important to know your age. It may be due to adenoma,tumour,angioma etc.
You need proper clinical examination and further investigation. Investigations include routine hemogram,Liver function test and contrast CT scan of abdomen. CT Scan of abdomen is vital because it can exclude many possibilities. Biopsy can be done if needed.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
