What Does Ultrasound Showing No Cardiac Activity, Gestational Sac Of 6 Weeks In Uterus With Hcg Positive Indicate?
My quant hcg is 6022. My hcg is positive. I believe I'm approx 5 weeks pregnant, however during my transvaginal US there was no cardiac activity. No definate embryo found, my gestational sac measures 6 weeks and is growing in the uterus. I do not have cramping but do have breast tenderness. I was on birth control when I conceived. Can this be a missed ab or inevitable ab?
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare magic. I do not think you need to worry so much for now. Your HCG level is within the normal range for a 5 week pregnancy. The fetal heart rate can be seen through a transvaginal ultrasound as early as 5 weeks 1 day after the last menstrual period. However, many times it is not seen until 6 weeks. I would suggest you redo the ultrasound a week after to be sure of what is happening.
I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish you good health
