What Does Widal Test Showing S Typhi O And H 320, Paratyphi AH And BH 80 Mean?
Hi, my mother is 52 years old she had fever mostly lower than 99 degree Fahrenheit with nausea so doctor told for widal test her test is saying S.Typhi O 320 titer and S.Typhi H also 320 tier ,Paratyphi AH 80 And paratyphi BH 80 titer.what does it means?

She has positive widal test.She is suffering from typhoid fever.
Single value of salmonella O or H antigen titer values equal or greater than 1: 160 is considered as positive.
However four fold increase in titration is confirmatory.
She can take tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily for seven days.
For fever,she can take tablet paracetamol 500 mg thrice daily if temperature is > 100 degree Farenheight.
