Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor, I am taking Telekast-L tablet daily at night. I asked my father to get that tablet from a medical shop. He bought Telekast-10 instead of Telekast-L. Is there any difference between those two tablets...? Shall i have that tablet Telekast-10 instead of L? Plz reply me..
Telekast-L may be taken in the dose of one tablet once a day. Telekast-L is a combination of an antihistamine (levocetrizine) and leukotriene receptor blocker (montelukast) commonly prescribed for the treatment of allergic symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness.
It also reduces inflammation in the airways and make breathing easier. Telekast-10 consists of montelukast only and prescribed to prevent and treat allergic conditions like asthma, seasonal allergies, and exercise-induced asthma. You may take telecast-10 if you do not have allergic symptoms associated with cold as listed above.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
