What Exactly Happens In Endometriosis Surgery?

I had been to this dr. for advice regarding fertility. She successfully convinced me to do a endometriosis surgery . I was so shocked with her procedures. Initially she agreed my to let my husband inside the surgery room. However on the day of surgery she backed out and instead let her students in. Why give flase hopes? Her sutures that she used were not the ones that were biodegradable so we had to go back for an appointment to remove the sutures i guess so that she cam make money. She had no regard if it healed she pulled it out so badly and left me to bleed and denied to see me again stating that she had to attend to other patients, although we had had an appointment. Her advice during the post operative surgery was very contrary to established recovery methods. She said i could do regular chores the next day and have shower, etc which seemed very strange with sutures on. Post surgery she attributed my cause for infertility to PCOS which she said was very mild. However she did not ascertain with any lab tests like fasting blood sugar levels, cholesterol, facial hairs etc etc. that was purely stated on visual basis. And she charged about 23000/rs which i thought was a rip off. She does not make justice by devoting enough time to your appointment. Overall she was totally unprofessional, reckless, without postoperative care and lacked the professional attitude. It was one bad experience.

Hi Ms.Meera, its sad to hear of your unfortunate experience. Hope you are well now. Although I cannot pass any judgements on another doctor, one has to understand that as in any profession there are always disparities in the quality of care meted out by different medical professionals. One hopes that most doctors are still kind people with good knowledge and skills. Best Wishes. Take Care.
