What Happens When Hysterectomy Cannot Be Performed?
I am leaking what I think is urine after a colposcopy ! I had the procedure 2 weeks ago to remove some abnormal cells. But I have had a hysterectomy and they couldn t remove cervix as it was stuck to my bladder with scar tissue from my c sections should I be worried or is this normal thanks x
I understand that you had a colposcopy and are now leaking urine. I am not sure if the urine is coming from the urethra or vagina.
If the cervix was attached to the bladder and cervix could not be removed then it is no problem as it happens sometimes during hysterectomy. However a urine leak needs evaluation. It may be due to weak urethral sphincter or a vesico vaginal fistula [ abnormal opening between bladder and vagina, very rare], or an infection and increased frequency or urination. So please see your gynecologist and determine the cause and the treatment can be directed towards the cause. Please do not worry as all the causes are treatable.
