my question is............what is the actual problem she is suffering from.......what is the meaning of " E.S.R : 130mm 1st Hour ( 0 - 8mm 1st Hour) " ................is there any serious problem....... she regularly takes Anxit,Nebicard,Protheden tablets.Her age is 54years.
Hi, ESR is very high. 130 mm/1st hour usually needs to be evaluated for any serious inflammatory condition. As the protein in urine is nil, I would not think of any serious problem for now. With her age, back pain and ESR I would strongly suspect more of a malignant disease like multiple myeloma or a chronic inflammatory disease maybe tuberculosis. The pain should get subsided with depomedrol injection. Discuss with your doctor regarding the diagnosis made and ask for further investigations like serum electrophoresis or bone marrow aspiration biopsy to rule out multiple myeloma.
