I had mammogram done, radiologist says I have bilateral fibroadenosis, whats that?

Its non cancerous condition of breast, you need not to worry regarding cancer point of view, its generally painful(before menses begins)you should consult surgeon they can prescribe you cap evion 400 mg that helps you if you are symptomatic

Fibroadenosis is a benign non-tumourous condition of breast, which is bilateral, off and on painful (mainly during early half of menstrual cycle). It causes a lumpy, vague feeling of mass in breast. There is treatment available to reduce pain and discomfor in the form of Vitamin E and primrose oil capsules. They have to be taken for a couple of months before actually benefits can be judged. Whether it causes reduction in size of lumps depends individually on case to case. In some cases, it may, in others it might not help. Some patients and their doctors also prefer surgical removal.
Best for you would be to discuss these options with your clinician and take decision accordingly.
