Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum

Eye scan detect only impairment and its readings are compared against a previously established baseline, and if the pupil is dilated or reacts more slowly then the test shows positive.

The eye scan can't determine if impairment is caused by drugs, alcohol, lack of sleep or other causes.

To confirm whether impairment is because of alcohol or drugs other tests are needed like breath analyzer (for alcohol) and urine screening (for most of the drugs).

Time latency depend on several factors but for general estimates it is in hours for alcohol and many days for most of the drugs.

Hope this will help you,
