What Does Inhomogeneous Opacity In Lower Zone Of Lung Mean?
my baby is 3 years and 2 months old and I did some x ray and it says inhomogeneous opacity is seen in the right mid lower zone. She is showing signs of Pneumonia and our docter even feel so. What does inhomogeneous opacity is seen in the right mid lower zone mean?
It means that the lung is showing consolidation or pneumonia signs radiologically - it is as simple as that and nothing serious please. Once it gets more organized and becomes homogenous opacity and then will start healing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
