What Is Meaning Of Hyperaerated Lungs In Xray Result?
MY daughter's xray result said: pulmonary vasculature is accentuated. heart is not enlarged. diaphragm and sinuses are intact. Impression: hyperaerated lungs. what does that mean? she is only 10 years old and sometimes she complains of catching her breath. she is not exposed to cigar smoking and heavy chemicals. has not been sick, just occasional cold but no cough. Her weight is normal.
Nothing to worry about this. Sometimes if chest x ray has been taken after deep forceful inspiration this kind of x ray is seen. In children due to flexible chest wall with deep inspiration their rib cage expand more than the adults. So no need to worry about this.
