What Is Meaning Of Mild Aneurysmal Dilatation Of Infrarenal Abdominal Aorta?
Please help me understand my mri report. I am 61 years old, 149 lbs. and 5' 6" tall. mri report: There is a nerve root sheath cyst posterior to S1 on the right. There is a small hemangioma of S1. There is mild aneurysmal dilatation of the infrarenal abdominal aorta with maximum transverse dimension of 3cm. the distalspinal cord and other surrounding soft tissue are normal. L3/4= There are facet degenerative changes bilaterally. L4/5= There is a small broad-based disc bulge. There are facet degenerative changes bilaterally. There is no spinal stenosis. L5/S1= There are facet degenerative changes bilaterally. There are conjoined S1 nerve roots bilaterally.
1.The report says that there is a dilatation / aneurysm of aorta inferior to the renal arteries - this can be seen in case of hypertensive cases or any vascular pathologies. 2.This is an early stage - you have to control the BP and other medical conditions should be corrected and suggest followup for this case. 3.There are few disc bulges in lower lumbar region with mild pressure effect on the nerve and spinal chord - but insignificant. 4.Degenerative changes seen in L5-S1 level. ( could be age relate) 5.And a cyst at S1 level which also needs observation , if symptomatic need to plan for excision / drainage. Good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
