My HBA1C level is 14. I would like to know which is the best diabetic drug I can take. I do not want to go in for insulin.My age is 51. Since last ten years I am diabetic. Recently consuming Ayurvedic medicines but Ayurvedic doctor advised to take alopathic since the sugar level is not coming down.

All the anti diabetic drugs are good.It all depends upon your blood sugar control.
Considering the fact that you are a diabetic for past 10 years with your levels highly uncontrolled,it is very important and ideal for you to start insulin,because it may be very difficult to control your diabetes with oral medicines.Even if sugar gets controlled with oral medicines,very soon they will loose their efficacy.
An uncontrolled diabetes has unlimited future complications.
There is no need to fear from injection insulin as very good needles and pen are available now which are totally painless and can be used by the patient himself without any botheration.
