The best first aid measure post a bite by dog is washing the wound with plenty of water and soap.
Rabies vaccination is given as per schedule.
In certain scenarios anti rabies serum is also given.
One should not forget TT injection if not vaccinated previously as required.

Hi Prem,thanks for query.In case of dog bite,anti rabies vaccine must be taken.Along wit this in case of severe bites one needs to take anti rabies serum for extra protection.Do not forget to wash the wound in running water and mild soap,this is the most important part in the treatment along with medicine.Please do not tie bandage on the wound.
