What Is The Burning And Radiating Pain In My Stomach?
My name is Jamie, I have a history of stomach problems but each Dr. I've gone to has had a differant dianosis. I still have the pain but no medicine to help. I have a burning in the v of my ribs which the pain radiates straight through to my back and shoulders. Is back pain common with stomach problems?
Noted the history and understood the concerns. Since you have visited many Doctors and yet the diagnosis has not been made indicates that it may be an uncommon problem and thus needs proper clinical evaluation, examination clinically helps a lot. Also needed are specific tests as per the clinical evaluation. This may be due to the gastric ulcer causing pain to go to the back. Another problem can be Pancreatitis. Dissecting aortic aneurysm can be a rare cause. Neurological problem like spine compression also can present this way. Hence you will need an MRCP , upper GI Endoscopy and MRI of the back if needed. Once the diagnosis is made, further management is easily to be done.
