What Is The Cause Of Anemia And Fractures In A Baby?

I am being accused of child abuse and I would never hurt my 4 month old baby. I took my baby to the hospital because he was not taking his bottle and started to worry me. The doctors found that he was extremely anemic and needed a blood transfusion. They also did x rays and found that he had 7 fractures, some healing and some new. CPS took all of my children. 2 weeks later he was x rayed again and they found 3 mores fractures. I am desperate for help! What should I do? My baby seemed to be normal. Please Help.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Probably this is a case of Osteogenesis imperfecta.
It occurs due defective formation of collagen.
About 8 types of this disease are described.
The bones are fractured with slight trauma.
Better consult orthopedician and confirm the diagnosis so that it is not mistaken as child abuse.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
