What Is The Cause Of Brain Seizures In A Child?

HELLO. I HAVE A FRIEND WHOSE CHILD HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL FOR TWO WEEKS. THE CHILD IS HAVING BRAIN SEIZURES, MRI SHOWS WHITE MATTER SPOTS ON THE CHILD BRAIN AND SOME SWELLING. DO U HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THIS? DOCTORS ARE REALLY NOT GIVING ANY ANSWERS!! THEY NEED SOME ANSWERS ASAP THE CHILD IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD

However, based on the information provided, the most likely diagnosis could be either encephalitis (brain fever) or ADEM (due to altered immune response).
