What Is The Cause Of Heart Palpitations That Prevent Sleep?

I frequently experience heart palpitations when I sleep. These palpitation often prevent me from falling asleep at night but always wake me up (and correspondingly help prevent me from falling asleep again). At their worse they restrict me to 4 to 5 hours of sleep each night. What is causing these palpitations and how can they be prevented (so I can get a good nights sleep and improve the quality of my life).

hello there!
The etiology of these palpitations need to be sorted out. so hormonal profile to rule out hypothyroidism , a simple ecg and some more work up to rule out any thing serious . once ruled out then i am sure its a panic attacks and anxiety and all it would need some psychiatric facility with some psychotherapy sessions and rehabilitation.
so good luck
