What Is The Cause Of Itching And Redness In Legs?

Constant itching thought id been bitten by an insect,but doubt it as covered all over my legs particularly upper thigh near knee on right and left leg.My GP did give me some steroid creams to use but they havent made any difference really as skin is still dark red looks like i ve been burnt.Havent eaten any new food tht makes me think not allergic to food.Just wish i could resolve this.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the itching and redness in legs. I can make a possibility of Allergic dermatitis. In Allergic dermatitis there are eruptions along with moderate itching and in more aggravated cases there is appearance of more redness which persist for more than multiple of days.

The only precaution you must follow is not to touch, pinch pop or squeeze any of them other wise it can get infected and can cause complications.

You can apply medium potency steroid cream application of fluticasone cream. You can additionally take antihistamine benadryl or loratadine by mouth.
