What Is The Cause Of Memory Issues When On Topiramate?
I am taking topiramate for migraines and I have been for about 2 years. I went off of it for awhile but went back on it about 7 months ago. I have been noticing a real memory issue in the last 2 months and it is really getting worse. I can not seem to remember things when I am in mid-sentence and I have had two times when I have been driving that I have forgotten where I was going and it has taken me a few minutes to finally realize where it was I was going to. I don t know if this could be the reason for this or not. I have had a cat scan and other test recently and nothing has shown up. Any thoughts on this?

has a side effect of causing forgetfulness in some individuals at certain doses. You should mention these symptoms to your prescribing MD who may need to change the dose vs switch you to a different medication.
