What Is The Cause Of Numbness In Body And Burning Sensation In Finger, and Could They Be Related To Femoral Hernia Repair?

In January 2014 I underwent a femoral hernia repair and in the week following this I experienced numbness of whole body (I still don t feel like it s my skin anymore - sensations have changed altogether). I then also experienced a feeling as though my face was going into a palsy on the left side but thankfully this did not happen. Hospital couldn t detect anything - all in my head....anyhow.... In the last 3 days I have begun to have a constant burning sensation in the tip of my left index finger - what could this be and could there be any connection ??? (I m 33, walk 3 mile per day, don t smoke/drink) had a baby six months ago)

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that your symptoms could be due to the some peripheral neuritis and the underlying cause of this need to be found out, otherwise your surgical condition is nothing to do with that, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
