What Is The Cure For The Severe Hives And Esophagus Spasms?

I got poisened by bleach at the machine shop I work at about a year ago. It was inhalation. I broke out with severe hives all over my body. I also got severe esopogus spasms also. Now a year latter the hives are gone but I still get esopoges spasms about every 4 to 5 days for about 12 hours then they quit and I feel fine the next day. I think that prednisone may stop the hives internally but no doctor will give me a prescription without alot of tests. what should I do?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If this is just the inflammatory condition that causes the symptoms, or it is just due to the allergic condition then there is nothing to worry because it is the self-limiting one. Moreover, let the doctor decide about the steroid you cannot take that on your own.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
