What Is The Difference Between Painful And Painless Vaccines?

Hello Doctor , Our baby is 6 weeks old now , Our Doctor(Pediatrician) initially asked us to take the painless vaccines which cost around 7k , now we are told that these painless vaccines are not effective so they are asking us to take the normal ones .We are not sure why they are saying like that now .What is the difference between these two and which one is good for our child , we are not worried about the cost/money we are worried about the change opinion by the doctor with giving any further details. I can understand your concern.

One is a acellular vaccine and other is whole celled. Apart from the difference in cost the painless variety causes less pain and fever compared to the other. Recently IAP recommended that painless variety is not as immunogenic as the other one. So your paediatrician recommends the way he does.
