What Is The Different Between Microgynon And Rigevidon Tablet?

I was on Microgynon 30 for about 6 or 7 years and decided to have a break from it. I was off the pill for about 9 months and decided to go back on it as i had a long term partner. My doctor said i needed a different pill and gave me Rigevidon which i have now been taking 9 months. I have just picked up my prescription and i have microgynon! The ingredients are the same so i am very confused should i take this or take it back to the Pharmacy!? Its not the first time the pharmacist has given my the wrong prescription

Hi,

There is no difference between them as they contain the same hormones. These are the commonly used combined oral contraceptive pills, and contain the same hormones (estrogen and progestin) which means you can switch between them without any fuss. So micogynon may be taken in place of rigevidon.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
