What Is The Dosage Of Metformin Hydrochloride?

dear sir my age is 52 i m having heart problem now my fasting sugar 97 and food is 194 rgt i m taking volix 0.2 mg and glimepiride and metformin hydrochloride sustained release tablets taking 2 time a day plz u just tell me shd i take 1 time or 2 time

Dear sir, the maximum dosage of metformin per day is 3g as per international standards. In India we generally keep it to 2g per day as our patients experience severe gastritis with higher doses.Seeing your treatment regimen my suggestion would be to concentrate more on the portion size of your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
